Our Program Directors

Our experienced Senior Day Program Directors warmly greet each person as they walk in and coordinate engaging activities throughout the day.

Nancy Herk

 Executive Director

As the Executive Director, Nancy has been responsible for the development of the program and services you know so well today as “Respite Care”.  Since 1994, in coordination with her board of directors, Nancy has used her background in developmental education as well as her many years of volunteer coordination and work in nonprofit management, to establish a very successful model for adult day programs.

If you are interested in enrolling your loved one in our Adult Day Program, Nancy will be the first person you will meet with. She will explain the program and what it offers, show you around our new facility located in Bath, Maine, introduce you to the Adult Day Program Directors and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Cindy Hughes

Her goal is to provide a fun, safe environment where ideas and memories come together to provide for conversation, interaction as a group, sharing and laughter.

Cindy enjoys reading, crafts and travel.

Our Board of Directors

Executive Director Nancy Herk works closely with our Board of Directors to ensure we offer the best possible services to our participants and their families.  In fact, many of our Board members became involved with the Respite Care program because their loved ones attended the Senior Day program and they wanted to ensure the continuation of services to the community.
