Caregiver Support Group
Caring for someone with memory impairment or cognitive issues can be an incredibly challenging journey, often marked by feelings of isolation and stress. The emotional toll of providing care for adults facing conditions such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, brain injuries, and other chronic debilitating health issues can leave caregivers feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn for support.
That’s why our support group exists. We provide a safe, welcoming space where caregivers can come together to share their experiences, express their feelings, and discuss the unique stresses and challenges they face. Here, you’ll find understanding and empathy from others who truly understand what you’re going through. It’s not just about the difficulties; we also celebrate the small victories and the moments of joy that can arise amidst the challenges of caregiving.
We invite you to join us for our upcoming meetings. Whether you’re currently caring for someone or simply considering our program for the future, attending our support group is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what we offer. You’ll meet others who are navigating similar paths and have family members enrolled in our program, creating a sense of community and connection. Together, we can share resources, coping strategies, and encouragement, making this journey a little less daunting. We hope to see you there!
Place: Virtual via Zoom

Community Education
At Bath-Brunswick Respite Care, we are deeply committed to supporting both seniors and their caregivers. We recognize the unique challenges and joys that come with caring for older adults, and we strive to provide essential resources, education, and community connections to enhance the well-being of everyone involved. Our Caregiver Connect Series is a cornerstone of this mission, featuring expert speakers that highlight local agencies and resources dedicated to promoting happy, healthy, and safe aging. Each session offers caregivers the opportunity to learn and find support in a welcoming environment.
In addition to the Caregiver Connect Series, we host a variety of community outreach events throughout the year. We believe that informed caregivers and seniors are better equipped to navigate the aging process, and we are dedicated to providing access to valuable information and resources. To stay updated on our upcoming events, be sure to visit our events page. If you're interested in having us speak to your group or organization about our programs, we would love to collaborate! Together, we can create a supportive network that enhances the quality of life for seniors and their caregivers, making a meaningful difference in our community.
