Bath – Brunswick Caregiver Support Group

Taking care of someone who has a memory impairment or cognitive issues can be difficult and very isolating.

Our support group is a safe place to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of providing care for adults who are aging or have Alzheimer’s, stroke, brain injury, and other chronic debilitating health conditions.

We would love to have you join us. If you are considering our program for the future, this is another way you can find out more about what we offer and meet people who have their family members enrolled.  (Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster required to attend.)

Place: 9 Park St., Room 120 Bath, Me.

Date: every 1st and 3rd Monday of each month

Time: 9:15am-10:30am

To learn more email Director Nancy Herk or call 207-729-8571.

Community Education

We are strong advocates for both those experiencing issues arising from loss of  memory and aging.  Therefore we actively work towards raising community awareness by sponsoring programs to educate families and community members in the MidCoast Maine area.

Primary areas of focus are Senior Care, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, communication techniques, behavior assessment, elder abuse, support and counseling.

Carefree Cafe

Several times a year, in conjunction with The Highlands or MidCoast Senior Health, we offer a “brunch” for caregivers and their family member with cognitive issues.

This is a wonderful opportunity for participants and caregivers to meet other families involved with our Senior Day Program. A restaurant style setting designed to make attendees feel comfortable in a social setting.

Our Mission

Bath-Brunswick Respite Care, established in 1989, is a nonprofit, volunteer based, adult day service dedicated to providing supportive care to individuals and families who face the disabilities of aging
